Rockford Chess Association

 

Mission Statement:

 

The mission of the Rockford Chess Association is to provide middle northern Illinois with services used to grow and mature the local chess community through lessons, clubs, and tournaments. We will encourage the discipline of good sportsmanship and proper chess etiquette. We will conduct our business ethically and demonstrate leadership in satisfying our responsibilities to our community and to society.

 

Organizational Objectives:

 

1. Market Standing                                             To make our service desired by local

chess enthusiasts.

 

2. Innovations                                                    To be a leader in introducing people to chess

by averaging three activities a month per

year.

 

3. Productivity                                                    To perform all activities efficiently as

measured by the number of delays recorded.

 

 

4. Physical and Financial Resources                   To protect and maintain all resources-

                                                                        equipment, buildings, inventory, and funds.

 

5. Profitability                                                    To return a minimum rate per event to the

RCA based on the formula,

[Event Overhead + (Event Overhead x 0.2)] 

 

6. Manager performance and responsibility           Identify critical areas of management and

succession.

 

7. Volunteer performance and attitude      To maintain levels of volunteer satisfaction

                                                                        consistent with similar volunteer

organizations.

 

8. Social Responsibility                          To respond appropriately whenever possible

to societal expectations and environmental

needs.
