The Rockford Chess Challenge is intended to create an enjoyable tournament experience for that new tournament player or club. One important aspect of creating that enjoyable experience is to ensure that the tournament is well-run and organized.

Attributes of a well-run tournament

• Events begin on time
• Information is accurate
• Information is posted in a timely fashion
• Errors are kept to a minimum, or corrected in a timely manner
• Everyone is treated with respect and courtesy
• Everyone looks after the safety and welfare of the youngsters
